Users should note that by subscribing to the Venice Pride Newsletter(1), completing the volunteer services application form (“Venice Pride Volunteer Form”)(2), creating an account or purchasing merchandise through Venice Pride – Official Merchandise (“Venice Pride Shop”)(3), or donating to Venice Pride(4), as applicable, they may have provided personal information, which may constitute “personal data” within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and related implementing legislation (together, “Data Protection Legislation”).
Users’ personal data will be used by Venice Pride for the following purposes:
- to manage and administer a User’s account with Venice Pride and any related accounts on an ongoing basis in accordance with: the User’s subscription to the Venice Pride Newsletter, the terms of the Venice Pride Volunteer Form, Venice Pride Events Registration Form, or the terms of the Venice Pride Store, as applicable, between the User and Venice Pride;
- to carry out statistical analysis and market research; and
- to comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable to the User and Venice Pride from time to time.
In each case the personal data referred to above will only be used in connection with Venice Pride’s legitimate business interests and accordingly Users’ specific consent is not required.
Users’ personal data may be disclosed by Venice Pride to its delegates, professional advisors, service providers, regulatory bodies (if any), auditors, technology providers and any duly authorized agents or related, associated or affiliated companies of the foregoing for the same or related purposes.
Users’ personal data may be transferred to countries which may not have the same or equivalent data protection laws as that required under Data Protection Legislation. Any such transfer of personal data will be in compliance with applicable Data Protection Legislation and appropriate measures are in place to ensure this such as the request for consent from the User in relation to attending and volunteering for Venice Pride Events. Pursuant to Data Protection Legislation, Users have the right to object to processing of personal data by Venice Pride and a number of other rights which may be exercised in respect of their personal data in certain circumstances, i.e.:
- the right of access to personal data held by Venice Pride;
- the right to amend and rectify any inaccuracies in personal data held by Venice Pride;
- the right to erase personal data held by Venice Pride;
- the right to data portability of personal data held by Venice Pride; and
- the right to request restriction of the processing of personal data held by Venice Pride.
These rights will be exercisable subject to limitations as provided for in Data Protection Legislation. User may make a request to Venice Pride to exercise these rights by contacting info@venicepride.org.
Please note that personal data may be retained by Venice Pride for as long as reasonably necessary for its legitimate business purpose, to fulfill the purposes, or related purposes, described in this Policy, or in accordance with Venice Pride’s legal and regulatory obligations.
Venice Pride is a data controller within the meaning of Data Protection Legislation and undertakes to hold any personal information provided by Users in confidence and in accordance with Data Protection Legislation. By agreeing to the Data Protection Notice, you consent to:
- any other transfer of your non-sensitive data to Showclix for purposes of your attendance at this Venice Pride Event, including issuing a ticket linked to your person, and providing you with customer support before and on-site at the Venice Pride Event; and
- for any other transfer of your non-sensitive data to a third party service provider, by Venice Pride, necessary to process information submitted by the User for the uses described in our Data Protection Notice, such as to manage and administer a User’s account with Venice Pride and any related accounts on an ongoing basis in accordance with: the User’s subscription to the Venice Pride Newsletter, the terms of the Venice Pride Volunteer Form, or the terms of the Venice Pride Store, as applicable, between the User and Venice Pride.
